Because, if your kids go to schools like we have here, they're not getting enough physical activity during the day. Here, PE is only once every 3 days. Sometimes, that means once a week. There's also not as much recess. The only time they play outside is after lunch. That's not much activity for young children. When I was little, we had a recess and lunch recess. We also had PE 3-5 times a week. Kids just don't get the activity they need to stay busy, healthy and expel all that energy.

Find out what their daily schedule is like in school. I'm betting they don't have any time to release that energy.

A lot of kids are. Back when I was a kid we would get out of school, and we would go outside and have fun. We were kings of the neighborhood until dinner time, or until the street lights came on. These days kids are kings of the video game controller. They need a more physical outlet for the energy.

Get them involved in something outdoors, even if it is just in the yard/neighborhood, and you will likely see an improvement.

They have had to sit and listen to the teacher for most of the day. Let them run for about an hour after they get home. That should burn some energy off.

because they have been made to sit in the classroom all day long except for recess and lunch. When they get home they are free from the classroom. Then they are excited to tell you about their day and show you papers or tell you about something exciting that happened that day. Or they have had to much CHOCOLATE MILK at lunch! haha just joking. It is probably what I said first.

because they have been in school all day, sitting working not able to run around retaining all that energy by the time they get home they are ready to bust.so we need to let them outside so they can let it out.its best to do that before there homework, because they do not want to come home and sit again so let them play for a hour at least, so they will be able to think calmly.
