Give them a few hundred years to catch up. If we all lived by the law in Deuteronomy, we'd have to slaughter our own brother, sister, spouse, best friend, etc if they told us that they don't follow Judaism. It's all ancient stone age crap. Welcome to the future!

It doesn't bother me..it gives me an opportunity to spread the word of Islam to those who are ignorant...but let us not ignore the glaring fact that the western civilization is not only imperfect, but according to top western minds, it is heading toward disaster. There is a catastrophic decline of morality. Crime, alcoholism, drug addiction, publicly advertised homosexuality, single parenthood, child abuse, domestic violence, decline of family values, rampant divorce rate, and hard pornography are a just a few examples of the evils infesting the materially advanced West. Modernity without spirituality is taking its toll on the western psyche.
It is interesting to note that the Renaissance of the Christian Europe coincided with and heavily depended on the revolutionary thoughts of John Calvin and Martin Luther. When the Europeans moved away from the church they set their course toward becoming scientific and industrial giants. Conversely, some Muslims who kindled the European Renaissance, slumped into darkness as they departed form the Qur'anic teachings.
But just like that does not represent EVERYONE in the WEST, same way terrorism does not represent EVERYONE who is a muslim.

As a muslim, I respect other religions and don't ignorantly assume a few radicals portray a religion correctly. The KKK, skinheads and Jeffrey Dahlmer do not portray Christians well for instance. Islam is about peace and does not condone terrorist acts. If you are genuinely curious about Islam, read the Qur'an and gain at least an understanding rather than allow your ignorance to a faith different from yours propogate a hatred and prejudice that is against most religions (probably yours too).

First off Muslims do not go attacking innocent people. Second TERRORISTS ARE NOT MUSLIMS! Neither are the Taliban. The Holy Noble Qur'an forbids murder. Murder is murder and is a very HUGE sin. Almost as bad as leaving Islam. And anyway the pagans hating us just makes us struggle (JIHAD) for our faith and soul and belifs. TRY researching Islam on the internet. Insha' ALLAH you will learn the true meanings of Islam.

Why do you think nobody likes Muslims? Most people are as tolerant of them as they are of Jews or Christians...
Why are you associating everyone of the Muslim faith with suicide bombers and terrorists? Do you think the world should judge all Christians by the actions of abortion clinic bombers or George Bush's "pre emptive counter offensive" over WMDs?
Should all Americans be perceived as characters from "Roseanne"?
Perhaps you mean to refer to Al Queda and not Islam in general...
Or does the IRA represent Christianity?

I follow Islam because I believe it to be correct. I don't care what the media brainwashes "other people" to think, and I don't much care what bad people do. (Though it does make me sad.)
