First let me say I have no right to nor am I trying to judge anyone. God knows all but he knows us so well that he knows what we will do in every decision we are faced with, kinda like if you asked a good friend what their favorite color was, you'd know what they would say because you know them so well. I was raised in a kind of a suit and tie church, and I don't think that is what God requires of us. So many unbelievers (whom I am not downgrading by any means) see so called "Christians" and how they act on every other day of the week. A lot of people think all it takes is one day a week and those people I'm sorry to say set a bad example for the world to see. I am by no means shape or form perfect or even close but I try to set a good example. It wouldn't be fair for someone who did a good job raising their kids being judged by their kids actions if they did a good job. That's kinda what happens when people see God but how some one day a week christians act.
God loves us all and will forgive us if we honestly seek him but my whole point is this. Don't judge God by the church you went to when you were little, by the bad things that have happened to your neighbor, or by so called "Christan's" in today's society. Chase after God and he will show you the unconditional Father heart he has for you that's all you need to do see God for God not by anything else and he will provide you with the answers you need.

This is a question that the best philosophers can not even answer. So, in this case, you are saying that we are living in determinism (our lives are pre-determined by a higher power and we have little or no free will)? This is where I would say "bullshit". I do believe in determinism to an extent, but not in every aspect of life. We have to have some free will or what is the point of living out our lives on earth? If you believe in God and believe that your future is pre-determined, then why would he put us here if he already knew that we would end up in hell for having these doubts or being atheist? Its a question that will most likely never be answered.

God knew you before you were born and yes, its natural to question. Theres not much time to ponder the question though. Its more than head knowledge, you can feel Gods presence in a good church service. Try one out this Sun. morning and see if it seems real to you. A few I would recommend are Baptist, Nazarene, Assembly of God and non denominational.

Yeah, I went through a period of not being sure if I believed in God.
If we don't question things, then we don't really know why we believe what we believe. I came back to God after about 5 years, because after questioning things and reading about other religions (and kind of getting involved in other spiritual sutff), I found that I really believed that truth was in the Bible.
Of course God knew you would question your belief in Him. He still loves you. Ask God to help you know that He's there, and I believe He will. Ask Him to help you know the truth. It's ok to not be absolutely sure sometimes, because you're human. You'll figure it out.
God bless you.

God is not the author of confusion.
Corinthians chapter 14 verse 33. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
When you find peace, you find the will of God for your life. There is nothing as awesome as the will of God in your life.
God DOES have a divine plan for your life. You feel it inside of you wanting to fullfill itself. Start studing the Word of God (the Bible) and things will start making more sense to you.
You would not buy a car or home without checking it out would you? Check God out. You will never be sorry you did.

God did know you would be coming to a world that is hostile to Him, that rebelled against Him, but I believe He believed in you enough to let you come anyway. He gave you the goods to see through all the smokescreens and put reminders of His love and care for you everywhere so that you could find your way to Him should you ever find yourself with a need to do so. And He continues to leave the choice up to you.

You can only do the best with the information you have on hand. If the information on hand says to be atheist, be an atheist and proud of it. If the information on hand says to be a theist, be a theist and proud of it. Just remember that other people also are doing the best they can with the information in front of them and they may have different information than you, so their conclusion must be respected as you would want yours respected.

If there are any gods, and if they cared whether or not we believe in them, they wouldn't leave it so ambiguous unless they were either powerless or cruel. Why would a creator put together a rational clockwork universe and then expect us to believe in it by irrational means?

If the God of the bible actually exists, it is obvious he only wants stupid, unthinking people to be with him in heaven.
