we talked about it, a big serious talk (those suc) and since then, he has opened up once. He is really cuddely and gives nice gestures, but can't use his words to tell me how he feels.

Finally, last night, I said. 'Yesterday a guy in that mall that I don't even know told me I was beautiful and have a great smile. And I realized, that I don't even know if you think I am good looking or not...'

He just said 'Stop it'. I felt like he was repriminding my like a child for reaching out...

Should I just give up if he open up?

Don't presssure him.............Boys have a hard time telling girls a compliment...To you it is easy...Like just say it...But guys want to say it and say it right without messing up...............
You need to just drop the subject and go on...,.....The worse thing you can do is to say another guy said you looked beautiful, weather he did or not,(I think you just said that to get a reaction)
Trust me, if you pressure him too much on anything, you may lose him............He will say it when he is ready...not when you want him to.........(Hope that you are not one of those girls who always have to be told that!!!!! He may just run). Plus, maybe you need to tell him how nice he looks once in awhile, Or how great he did ??? You also need to give and take in any relationship!!! You first! Good luck

why does someone else need to compliment you? do you have low self esteem? and why try the make him jealous ploy? it only makes you look like a drama queen. YES he was trying to tell you that you are being childish. Quick tip- if a shallow guy thinks you are unattractive he will not be seen with you. MEN don't express themselves (or feel the need to) like women do.

Give up, you can't change him. You don't want to force the words out of him because they won't be real. You don't need his words to make you feel good. Just be happy that you are with him and have a mature relationship where you can both be yourselves.

How very ironic...

Stick with it. I am hitting my head against a wall b/c I swear your bf probably cares and just isn't comfortable showing it (maybe b/c he cares that much?)

I just thought it was funny, exact set of opposite circumstances if you can believe it...

He either isn't comfortable with that or he doesn't feel that way about you. If it's really that important to you and you are unhappy, seek companionship elsewhere. If his other positive qualities are enough, suck it up.
