Does anyone have a recipe for crab balls. The kind that has some spicyness to them. Thanks alot

Serious answers only please! I am looking for a Crab ball recipe that is a fried crab ball.

CRAB BALLS

1 (6 1/2 oz.) can crab meat, rinsed, drained and flaked
1 egg
2 tbsp. finely chopped green onion
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. flour
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp. milk

TOPPING:

2 1/2 tbsp. plain bread crumbs
2 1/2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. parsley flakes

DIP:

Cocktail sauce

Combine all ingredients in first section except egg yolk and milk in food processing bowl. Process with pulse just until combined. Form 30 (1 inch) balls.
Blend yolk and milk. Mix together topping ingredients in a small bowl. Dip balls into egg yolk mixture, then roll in topping mixture to coat. Arrange 10- 12 close together in a ring around outside of large pie plate or dinner plate.

Place 3 or 4 in center of ring. Microwave on high 1 to 2 1/2 minutes or until balls are just firm, rotating after 1 minute, then every 30 seconds. Serve warm with cocktail sauce.

This is a pretty standard recipe, if you want to make them spicier you could add some cajun seasoning or cayenne pepper.


Crab Balls

1 lb crabmeat, special
1 egg
1 tb prepared mustard
1 tb old bay seasoning
3 tb self-rising flour
3 dr drops hot pepper sauce
2 tb mayonnaise

Instructions

Put crabmeat in bowl, removing shell pieces. Add all ingredients and
mix gently until blended. Form into balls. Deep fry until golden.
Yields about 30 balls.

Spicy crab cakes
2 Servings

1 lb Lump crabmeat
2 Whole eggs; beaten
¼ bn Scallions; bias cut
2 tb Mayonnaise
¼ ts Mustard
2 Cloves garlic; minced
¼ Lemon; juice of
½ ts Dry mustard
¾ ts Old Bay Seasoning
½ ts Onion powder
¼ ts Ground chipolte pepper
¼ ts Cajun seasoning
¾ ts Baking powder
2 tb Bread crumbs (or more if too moist)
Cornmeal
Salt and pepper
Old Bay Seasoning
Peanut oil

Combine all wet ingredients except crab meat, mix well. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mix well. Let mixture sit for 20 minutes. Add crab meat to the mixture. Mix well. Portion into 4 balls. Dust with cornmeal seasoned with salt, pepper and Old Bay and pan fry in 1/4 inch of peanut oil.

Peanut oil, for frying
Tartar Sauce:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 white onion, chopped
1/2 cup dill pickle chips, chopped
Fresh lemon juice
Pinch House Seasoning, recipe follows
Freshly ground black pepper

Crab Balls:
2 slices bread, crust removed and processed into crumbs
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
1 teaspoon House Seasoning, recipe follows
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 egg, beaten
1 pound lump crab meat, picked free of any shells


In a heavy, deep pot, preheat peanut oil to 365 degrees F.
For the tartar sauce, combine all ingredients into a food processor and blend to achieve desired chunkiness, adjust seasoning and chill until ready to use.

For the crab balls: In a large bowl, moisten bread crumbs with heavy cream. Mix in remaining ingredients. Shape into balls about the size of a walnut. Fry in oil until brown, about 5 minutes per batch. Serve Crab Balls while hot, with tartar sauce. Balls can also be made ahead of time and reheated.


House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder
Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Chesapeake Crab Ball Appetizer

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound crabmeat
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 bunch minced green onions
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM
1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 sprig chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Old Bay Seasoning TM to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Remove excess shell from the crabmeat.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, green onions, Old Bay Seasoning TM and horseradish. While mixing, gradually add the crabmeat. Divide the mixture into two balls. Refrigerate the balls for at least one hour.
On a piece of waxed paper, mix the parsley and Old Bay Seasoning TM. Remove the crab balls from the refrigerator and roll them on the wax paper until they are completely coated.

1 (12 ounce) bottle cocktail sauce

find a crab
cut his balls off
boil them or fry them whichever you prefer
then put sum hot sauce on them to give them a lil spicey kick
and enjoy!!!!!
