I really doubt. You know the recent changes in DOH Policy towards overseas people (outside EEA). We are not needed here anymore. SO many nurses who have qualified here in UK are going jobless now. How and why will the NHS trust apply for your permit. You are only a liability to the trust.
This is like adopting a child because you dont have one and then later dumping it because now you have one your own !! gr8 britain keep it up !!

Do you mean overseas nurses already working in the NHS? If so, your employer is the only one that can answer that, and it will depend if you have a permanent contract or a fixed term contract. If you are an overseas nurse wishing to apply for registration in the UK you will need to apply via the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

Hi Vivax, I am one of those nurses. I slogged my gutts off at uni and qulified in march, i graduate next month and still have no job. Iam not sure about your question, but I know that no more overseas nurses will be bought over here and given jobs as there aren't enough for the nurses that are here.

im sure they will but its not gonna be that simple.it depends where you work and all ..if you are in the a&e or specialist wards then they will do that.so if your permit is valid get specialising and do it quick.latter on im sure they will realise what thats gonna do to nhs and im sure they will have to change again.
god bless and good luck.
