He should be just fine.. that little bone will digest in no time at all..
Dr. Mike, DVM (now retired) stated that in all of his years as a vet, he never saw a dog with a bone causing trouble in the digestive tract, but only being stuck in throat, or jammed between the teeth..he stated that he had heard of such cases, but had never seen it...

I KNOW THIS ANSWER IS LONG BUT READ IT !!!!!First thing you should be careful what he eats. and it depends what is the size of the bone. it is alrite for dogs to eat chicken they have it in there natural dogs foods as well as all dogs love chicken but they are NOT aloud chicken bones as it is very poisonous to them DON'T give them any spicy chicken they don't like that and it will give them a belly ache just give him/her normal chicken off a leg or chest NO bones remember! Since there isn't much that you can do after the chicken bones have been ingested by your dog, you simply need to monitor him closely for the next few days. Keep checking his stools to see if the bones pass. Watch for blood in the stool, or any signs that he's straining to defecate. You should also keep an eye on your dog's temperament. If he becomes moody or listless, take him to a vet immediately. Perhaps the best thing you can do is try to "cushion" the tiny bones inside your dog's tummy by overfeeding him a little more over the next couple of days. Cooked rice (that's completely cooled first) is ideal, because it is gentle on a dog's stomach and digestive tract. You could serve up a small helping of plain white rice alone, or mix some cooked rice in with your dog's normal dog food. Then, you just wait and see. Chances are, everything will come out fine in the end. :-) i will keep you and your dog in mind and will pray that nothing happens to him. hence forward pls take care what he eats. another thing maltese are very cute dogs.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7Kl
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

he will most likely be fine.
In the old days all we fed the dogs was bones, chichen legs, heads, etc....
I would give him a chunk of butter with some bread... it should smooth out...
and i would watch and see if she's straining or throwing up, and if she is call a local vet.
but again... I wouldnt be too worried about it... i saw dogs swallow nails pins and other metal objects and they came out just fine...

It sounds like you don't need to be concerned - just keep an eye on him for the next 12 hours or so. If it was going to do damage, it would most likely have been when he swallowed it, he should be ok.

Our dog did that, and she was fine.
There's a few different sites you can find through google that have tips for inducing vomiting on a dog. In your case, there's one that gives instructions for when they swallow sharp bones. You have to give them bread, to cushion the bones, then give them hydrogen peroxide or syrup of ipecac, to throw it up. Like I said, it's probably fine, but if you need it, it's there.

keep an eye on her and see if she gets lethargic or if her tummy gets sensitive. also look for normal poops. my dog ate a whole chicken off the table when she was about 6 months old and that's the advice i got. she ended up fine. they also said to keep an eye on her for about 2 days.

He should be fine.
Most chicken bones do not do any damage. as a precaution, you can change the diet to boiled rice with chicken broth, (overcook the rice until it is mush). It will help his digestive tract, and help you ID any blood in his stool.
