Hello, welcome to Yahoo ANSWERS to participate please ask a QUESTION. A question can be readily spotted by the "?" at the end. Do you have a question or just want some one to know that your from Culiacán, Sinaloa (Mexico) or is it Birmingham or Nashville (Randall was born in Birmingham but moved to Nashville later)?
As for your observation, it is correct technically and per recorded fact. But, as a fan of the sport of boxing, Chavez had been beat already by Pernell Whitaker. Whitaker was robbed in one of the most controversial decisions ever in boxing. Chavez was lucky to get away with a Draw. The day following the fight 7 (out of 10) major Mexican newspapers even printed that Chavez lost that fight and that Pernell had won hands down. Mexican Newspapers!! That says a lot.
Don't get me wrong Julio was a great champion, he is one of the top 5 greatest lightweights in history. Just wish he didn't have such a questionable ending to his career. Which leads into the first response you received to what should have been a question. If you're going to make a broad observation implying that the sport of boxing is lack luster (in your words "crappy"), please be able to get your information correct.
The fight Richard Steele made famous was not against Randall it was against Meldric Taylor (vs. JCC). People find it hard to even acknowledge a viewpoint when the vision of the pointer is skewed with bad facts. If you don't like Boxing then by all means avoid responding in a Boxing Forum I'm sure many here share my opinion. I'm also sure you'd be welcomed (with your opinion) in Badminton or Shuffleboard. Enjoy

Didn't Chavez win that fight when the ref, i do believe Richard Steel, steped in and call it quits with like 15 seconds on the clock?
And Chavez is from Mexico...Randell is from Michigan??
Just another example of a crappy sport on the decline...that's what happens when you let money run a sport. Baseball isn't far behind...long live the NFL!
