I love him, but i can't change him. He is not ready for a relationship since his ex and is not ready to give emotionally AT ALL.

So I was thinking that after I gently say my piece, I would end it with 'just so you know, you are great guy and I did fall in love with you. And maybe someday we can try this again, cause I think you are amazing.'

I want him to know how much he meant to me and what an amazing person he is. Even though I can't be with someone with so many walls.

If that's the honest truth, yes. But by all means be 100% honest when you talk to him.

I went through the same thing with my BF. I think if you truly do love him u need to just talk it out with him. Let him know how you feel. Maybe if you just separate for a little and give him some space to figure out what is going on. What I did was just said I care about you and I understand what you are going through and will be there if you need someone to talk to. We stayed together but knew and understood if he didn't call or want to hang out. It was really hard and emotional but I love him and didn't want to loose him. We have been together for almost a year now and it has never been better. By me sticking by him in his time of need and respecting his feelings it bonded us together tighter. I think it is great you realize you can never change someone and are strong enough to know what you want out of the relationship. Have you ever talked to him about how you feel you are being treated. He might not even realize how crappy he has been. Just talk it out let him know how you feel and hear him out as well. What ever is meant to be will happen. Good luck and stay strong in your feelings no matter what anyone says. Only you know what is best for you.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

I think that is the nicest break-up I've ever heard of. It may even
make him take a good look in the mirror and realize he has to make some changes. If it doesn't,well,at least the end won't be
ugly. Good luck.

Show him what you wrote here, or tell him exactly that and I think it will work. I think it is fair to let him know you love him, but also fair to let him know that you need all of him, not just the stuff on the surface and if he is not ready for that, you need to move on.

you want to stay damaged up with her. How the verbal change btween them reads..its like they have been speaking like this to eachother for an exceedingly lengthy time period. And ok.. she deleted him off facebook. yet she might want to attend till all this blows over and bypass again to chatting with him. i do not imagine you deserve any of this. i understand you adore the gurl yet you won't be able to believe her. you'll locate someone so a lot extra perfect.

never try to change a person , if you need to do that they are not the one for you. telling him that you are leaving him but then telling him you love him is sending out mixed signals and that's not very fair.I know you want to do this the nice way but i don't think this way is best, sorry.

Yea... why not. Maybe in a few days he will realize what he is losing and decide to open himself up to you. I would.
