Whether or not she told him about you is not the issue here. It seems the bigger issue is your urge to sabatoge the relationship for some reason. If she told you a little white lie to make you feel more secure or comfortable in the relationship, then so be it. But that does not justify you going through her personal property.

It also seems you may have had a feeling she didn't tell him about you, or else you would not have gone to such legnths to make sure she did. You obviously have trust issues with your girlfriend, and that is far more important than whether some guy that she's dumped two years ago knows about you.

Ask yourself why you feel it's so important for him to know about your relationship....is it perhaps because you feel like she still has feelings for him, or maybe that you are worried he's better than you? If you aren't worried about those things, then there shouldn't be a problem. Grow up and talk to her about your trust issues! Without trust you have NOTHING!

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

She has lied to you! He would be extremely pissed off if he found out she's been dating other guys the whole time of his incarceration. I put money on it that she has told him she can't wait to be with him when he gets out and that there are no others. I would be very cautious with a girl in this type of situation. Why are they still corresponding with each other? Has she been to visit him? Be careful!

the best thing to do is talk to her, she may be a bit mad you read all her personal letters. the question you have to ask yourself is, does it really matter if she told him or not? is it that important. he is in prison so his writings to her can not exactly be trusted now can they.and there is a possibility that he genuinely didn't care that she had, he probably knows expecting her to stay faithful whilst he is locked up is not the right thing to ask her to so.if she did lie its not a huge one now is it and there may have been a reason for it, white lies are usually told to protect peoples feelings, stop them getting hurt. talk to her

I personally wouldn't continue dating anyone who kept in contact with an ex who was in jail. I don't think I'd want to be around when the guy got out and came looking for her. I think she lied and is lying about how often she writes to him, and what she's telling him.
She might be lying to you about other stuff, too.

depends on the guy in prison, maybe he realizes that he will never see her again, or that it is over, and maybe he has found a new love named bubba and doesnt care.

No, what I would be more concerned about is whether or not this guy is going to shoot you when he gets out.
