Normal! it will pass. stay calm and just proceed as fast as you can.
you can also try to involve him ("go get the nappy", "open the box of wipes"...) it might distract him!

Firstly- don't put up with him pinching you, that's completely out of the question. Second- I have a 14 month old girl and she squrms and tries to roll away- that part's normal. She does not scream or anything unless she has a rash though which only leads me to believe maybe he's hurting somewhere when you change him? Are you wiping his little nads too hard or something? I've heard that can hurt if you touch them just right. Is he going to day care where something may be happening to him that traumatically makes him react when his diaper comes off?? Seems odd that he would react so badly is all... to the point of pinching and kicking. I don't even think my 14 month old KNOWS how to pinch yet.

to an extent this is normal, my son did the same, but not as bad as your son. I would just look into his eyes and make sure he looks you in the eye and tell him "no, we don't kick, scream, bite, hit, pinch, etc.,that hurts mommy, and all I am doing is changing your diaper." And if after a few months he's still doing it, than i'd maybe talk to him and tell him what you are going to do to him, and calm him down first, and ask him if maybe he'd like to help mommy change his diaper. Give him a wipe and ask him to wipe his pee-pee or something, even his tummy, in any case you are letting him help and feel like he is in charge of it. THis is just my opinion. I did both at the same time, and it helped my son out.

My 15 month old daughter will go to her changing table when I tell her we need to change her diaper, but when I'm changing her she'll start crying for no reason. I think it's just that they are so hyper at this age and don't like to sit still too long. Once I've got her changed and pick her up, she wraps her arms around me. I think it's just a phase they go thru. Don't worry about it. As long as he doesn't have a rash or red/irritated skin, then it's probably just an inconvenience for him to get his diaper changed. He would probably just rather be playing.

Mines almost 3 and he still does that sometimes. They just don't like to stop what they're doing at the time to get their diapers changed. I wouldn't worry about it, just be sure to let him know that it isn't acceptable to hit and kick and pinch.

He may be to busy to be bothered with a diaper change. Try the diapers that you can pull on. Put some stickers all over his arms and hands before you go to change him. By the time he has pealed all of them off you should be done.

At least he isn't getting up or crawling away...(sorry, that is what my daughter did). It sounds like, he just doesn't want to be "tied down" or forced to lay still while there are things to explore, stuff to get into, toys to be played with. When he pinches you, tell him No, that hurts Mommy...or you could maybe pinch him back, but I wouldn't recommend doing it too hard...
try giving him something to hold onto while you change him...like your car keys, or something shiny, something he doesn't normally play with...it will keep him occupied for the few moments you need him to lay still.

VERY normal. Just get him changed as fast a possible and let him know that it will be over faster if he owuld be still. You should always tell him that he should not hit you. He'll tire of the fight eventually and settle down. Hang in there!

This is normal. You just have to let him know you are boss and that he can get up as soon as you are done and keep playing. He will grow out of this in a few months when he realizes he doesn't like the feeling of being wet or dirty.

My son hated to be changed at about that age so we started using pull ups where we could change him with him standing up. It worked like a charm!
