Once in a while (every 3 months or so) if I go to the mall or Petsmart I take my dog with me in a purse because i'm afraid of the bigger dogs bullying him. I won't take him with me though if i'm going to be over a couple hours and I put him on his leash and let him walk around outside on the grass for a 15 minute break. And no, I'm not trying to be like Paris Hilton I just love my dog so much and he's my best friend and he loves going places with me.

I give him a break like every 30 - 45 minutes and take him out of my purse and put him on his leash so he can walk around/stretch and potty or eat/drink.

No as long as you keep the purse slightly opened so you don't deprive poochy of neccessary oxygen.I saw on the news the other nite that they just developed a new purse specially designed for toting small dogs around in.I think they call it something like the pooch purse(check at your local pet shop-they might know)My best regards to you and your pooch-Have a good day.

They make purses specifically for dogs now. At least you know he's safe from the big dogs. One munch and they could really hurt the little guy. As long as he's not too tight in there and he fits well I don't see anything wrong with it.

Personally I think it's a wee bit weird- dogs are made for walking- it's their favourite hobby! Dogs are happiest when excercising so I think you may be carrying it around in a bag for your own benefit, not the dogs. You may as well carry around a teddy bear!

I think it can be alright at some points. Just htink of it as humans. When we are young, as infants, we were carried around. As we get bigger, we learn how to walk. Not only is it normal, but it is also healthy.

Not wrong at all, I carry my dog in special bag designed for that purpose. He likes being near me and he likes to be able to see everything. At home he won't go near the thing.

That is cute that you take your pet with you in the purse.

If the dog likes it, why not? It is better than leaving him

home with nothing to do.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with pursing your dog.

Unless it is a St. Bernard. Then you will need a really big purse.

Woof.

I would if mine fit as she has little hair and gets cold even with her clothes on. I love to take my girl where I go and she loves to go.

Sure as long as the dog seems to enjoy it why not.
