My dad has a very bad temper.My mom left him because of it,many years ago.But recently his bad temper got him into a little bit of trouble with the law.(he made threats to a detective)He went to court and lost.I know the detective I have had some contact with him about a case.

If you feel comfortable talking to him go ahead and try just tell him you are concerned about his temper and him hurting other people including himself.If you do not feel up to talking to him try writing him a letter.Letting him know that you care and love him dearly. :) GOOD LUCK!!!

This may not sound kind, but I'm glad he mouthed off to a detective. They don't have to put up with it like others may have to. Maybe this is a wake up call for your Dad. Maybe the detective did your father a favor.
