No - burping is air trapped in the diaphragm, for instance, from a carbonated beverage or eating too fast or not drinking enough water when eating; farting comes as a result of a gas that forms inside your intestines coming from certain trigger foods you eat (they say lactose products, beans, cauliflower, brussel sprouts or cabbage, etc. - certain foods are more likely to cause this gas and make you fart more, that's why they make beano and why you're supposed to soak and rinse beans first before cooking them - to help reduce this gas from forming; but a lot of foods -- fast foods, unhealthy foods, foods with a lot of artificial ingredients or preservatives, strange combinations of foods eaten together, etc., will combine to make this gas). Good luck in your burping and farting endeavors. ;)

Now that is a imaginitive question!!! i think of the burping does not shrink down on gas, and that's greater approximately what you consume that gets you gassy!!! yet we women do no longer bypass gas can we? no longer ladies. No way!!!!

no when you purp you are expelling air that you swallowed either while eating, drinking or just breating.
when you fart you expell gas that is produced from the digestion of your food ... hence the fragrant aroma.

We all know the story of beans producing particularly noxious odours, this is because they are complex protiens and particularly difficult to digest.
