I answered this question many times before, I always say the same thing. For me coke by a landslide. I waitress and the place I work at sells pepsi, I have to make sure I clarify that it is pepsi and not coke, otherwise, customers order it and say its flat, its not, thats just how pepsi tastes to me and most of the customers that come in. Some people prefer pepsi because of that taste but I could tell you from experience that most like coke. They are not the same thing other, if people would understand this then I wouldn't have to run around all the time, exchanging there pepsi's for sprites. For everyone out there, only order a pepsi if you like pepsi!! Otherwise, you will be giving needless extra work to all waiters, waitresses out there to run around and change it for a sprite, water, etc. ITS NOT FLAT ITS JUST PEPSI !!!!!!!!

I had to get this off my chest : )

It's amazing how much we (people in general) can be effected (or is that affected) by marketing. My family have been Coke drinkers for a very long time, and we're just the opposite of one of your other answers, in that, we always order Coke in a restaurant and will drink water if all the place has is Pepsi. However, I read a very interesting article about how effective Coke's advertising has been (Santa, Michael Jordan etc) and how many mis-steps Pepsi has had with their selections of Michael Jackson (and his hair catching on fire), Madonna (and her burning cross/kissing black Jesus music video that came our right after she signed her contract with Pepsi), and Britney (well and her just being Britney). Shortly after reading that article I decided to conduct a little experiment with our house full of Coke loving Pepsi haters (I'm included in that group as well). Anyway, so I bought a two liter Pepsi, went home and poured it into an empty 2 litter Coke bottle and placed it in the fridge. All three of my kids and my wife drank the fake Coke and never noticed the difference. But the punch line is that even after being shown that none of them could really taste the difference the entire gang still refuses to drink Pepsi. That would almost have to qualify as effective brain washing by the Coca-cola Corporation. Way to go Coke advertising department. You guys rock!

Pepsi

Pepsi. And I don't 'settle' for a Coke at a restaurant. If they don't have Pepsi, I drink water or iced tea.

But, for diet soda, then Diet Coke. Diet Pepsi is nasty. But I don't drink diet so it doesn't matter.

Cherry flavored - both are acceptable but I like Cherry Coke a little bit better.
