Look for her teats to enlarge and turn pinkish and her belly will start to swell. She may be off her food for a while, and she may have "morning sickness" (vomitting spontaneously from time to time). Keep in mind that when you see these indicators, the dog is already about 40 days into her 60+ day pregnancy.

You can also take her to her vet and have an xray or sonogram done to see if she has puppies and how many are there.

When she gets closer to her whelping day (when the pups are born) her temperature will drop to around 98 degrees; she'll start showing "nest building" behavior (tearing at and bunching up blankets, etc.); and may pace a lot.
