I am debating between buying a 1970 cougar or 1967 Mustang.
Any opinions as to which one has the better ride and what engine to look for? Also, I know this is probably a silly question, but does anyone have any idea of mpg? Thanks.

If you are looking for performance the Mustang is the way to go. It's a much smaller and lighter car but the Cougar probably has a more comfy ride. Not sure if the Mustang had the big block V8 in 67 but that is what I would get. I think Ford's big block was the 429ci back then. Cougar's probably had a small block? Not sure though. Maybe a 351ci. As for mpg, why the hell are u asking that question about muscle cars? If u are really concerned about it. Be easy on the throttle and don't open all 4 barrels of the carburator. Might get 12mpg then :).

Go for the Cougar - OMG - talk about your blast from the past!!!
I saw one Friday & my knees went weak! Everybody aspires to a Mustang but if you had a Cougar you would stand out in the crowd!!! Can't tell you engines or stuff, I'm definitely girly girl, but just know that it's a serious chick magnet!!!!! As for the ride, you can make it ride good & with the mpg - who cares?! It's a muscle car - you wanna look good, not worry about driving it cross country!!!
