You should do a hairstyle that is fitting for what you wish to do at homecoming. For example if you are a queen or a part of the court, up do is definitely called for I would say. If you are just a proud fan and want something low maintenance for the whole weekend, I would go for a cute pony tail or a wrap style. A lot is going to depend on what activities you are participating in, so base your hairstyle on the activities.

P.S. I know what you meant by being black. Hair textures are different.

well for my prom i did a curly up do with a weave piece. If you like big hair try adding some weaves tracks, use human hair so you can curl crimp and straighten with ease get a bunch a bobbie pins. After curling the hair pin up certain pieces the way you like it and make sure the pins are being hid by the hair. Be very careful when bying weave that is already curly it has a tendency to come out too big and poofy. Or you can go for a long straight look with angular cuts if you cant do it yourself tell a hairstylist you want angular cuts areound your face and she will know what your talking about.

Gurl, u know u need to weave it up into some sexy curls at the top of ya head and make u some pretty waves on the side with you'r hair. Nothin stickin out here and there. Then put some hair hanging on your shoulder ya know!
Example- Beyonce in that old CASE video when she had that black dress on! You know what I'm talking about

Hey I'm Black also. I have homecoming too. I'm doing my hair in a pony tail and leaving the back kinda in a mohawk. I'm doing half Pony tail half mohawk. I think you should have your hair like that. Go to a Black Stylist and ask for that.

I'm black girl too:) LOL I am also a hairstylist depending on how long your hair is I think you should get long flow loose spirals..pin some of them up and leave the rest hanging down. your hair doesn't have to be extremely long you just need enough to camouflage the extensions

I'm Black!! In fact I'm from New Orleans so I really know that I am black (a little light skinned), but black. I think you should definitely go with an updo with lots of curls. Updo's are really feminine and soft. Don't go ghetto go classic!!!

A nice, elegant up-do. Like a french twist is pretty nice.

There are a few variations.

Why are you sorry? Oh, I get it. You mean you want only black responses?

I thought some of the styles for Yahoo Avatars looked good, try one of those. P.S. Thanks for saying your heritage, some styles don't work with black hair that do with others.
