I would prefer not to use some site that charges and would think there must be a free service online somewhere.

actually, you can get "boiler plate" forms from an office supply store, just fill in the blanks. you'll need to get them notarized at either a branch bank, real estate office or where you work - either in the administrative suite or HR.

I know it sounds great to use an online site but really, hire an attorney. They know all the peculiars of your state, can make suggestions that will benefit your particular situation and that are NOT that expensive. My husband and I had will, living wills and power of attorney for both of us done for $150 and we know it was done properly.
