Is it true that there are more women than men in this world?

Question

They say that there are 7 million more women than men in America and 4 million more women than men in UK. Is it true.
They say that it is going to get worse.
Already the Muslims say that when the world ends there will be 50 times more women than men. And that till then the number of women compared to men will increase. The Quran says that near the end of the world, one man will be chased by around forty women and they will all try to get him.

If that is true what will happen?

How can all the women get husbands or boyfriends?

Will one man be chased by a group of women?

Do you think there are more women than men because I think I find more women than men. What do you think?

Honestly, I don't think there is any way to tell how many of each. There are the indigenous peoples all over the world. They don't tend to participate in our census. Also homeless and destitute...are we counting bag ladies in Chicago and untouchables in India? We can't even get a handle on how many people there are, let alone men vs women.

However, most people are born male OR female, giving almost a 50% chance for either. So I really think there is roughly half and half.

I honestly think that if the women of the world ever significantly outnumber the men, there will be a spike in the amount of lesbians and consequently it would be more acceptable while male homosexuality would be even less acceptable. And there will probably be a power shift in the world to be more matriarchal. And I bet some will find it a good reason for men to be polygamous. There would also be quite a spike in overall population. The future of the herd depends on how many DOES there are, not BUCKS.

I don't know the current stats, but considering the wars in the 20th century, it makes sense that there would be more women than men (men killed in battle)...is that changing now? I dunno...Mother Nature may have ways to balance this by more males being born when the scales tip too far in one direction or the other...

However, I wouldn't worry...for one thing, not all women want husbands or boyfriends...and you're discounting gay people in this equation completely...it's not going to come down to 1 man being chased by a group of women...I for one, wouldn't chase him...lol!

This is an absolute fact. Your chances of having a female child are 75% and chances for a boy are 25%. Think of it this way: a woman has 2 x chromosomes and a man has an x and a y. The woman only has an X chromosome to give to the baby, and the man has an x and a y, so it all depends on which of the spermies get their first the x or the y AND female sperm can with stand heat and pressure more than male sperm, so this is why there are TONS more females than men. The statment is wrong there is an even number of man and women because there is only a 50/50 chance of either. but in either case 40 women chasing me around don't sound to bad either..lol
