It is hard to do being a truck driver. My Dad is one and a lot of times you end up snacking on something to stay awake. If you find yourself doing this try to find something healthy to snack on like celery. A good way to lose fat is to go on a low-fat diet. It is also important to keep track of how many calories you consume in a day, and limit them to a reasonable number. You can find out what will work for you by looking at a free daily calorie calculator, a lot of fitness sites have these. In a truck you of course have some space problems for exercising. The best idea is if you are in a nice area try to get out and walk a bit. If you can work up to some light jogging that would be great for your cardiovascular health and pump up your metabolism for the hours that you will have to be driving. The most important thing to do is to plan what you will be eating and try hard not to deviate. You can lose the weight you want to, the hardest thing to do is get started. After you start cutting that extra weight and begin to feel more energetic, that will be a better reward than unhealthy foods. One of my favorite resources is www.bodybuilding.com . Best of luck with your diet plan.

One of the best nutrition books is: Eat Drink and be Healthy, the Harvard Medical School Guide to healthy eating by dr. Wilett.

It basically covers how to eat smart healthy and nutritious meals. You want to find other sources for nutrition as well but this book is a good base.

The most important thing is to cut out the trans fats and the HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). Basically no fast food and absolutely no soft drinks or bottled juice.

You can't loose 'spot' weight. You probably carry the majority of your weight in your stomach and because life is cruel it is probably the LAST place you will loose it. As a trucker your limited but you have to take your down time to excersice and quit eating truck stop food.

you need to take it slow - but get outta that TRUCK!!! park as far away as you can when you're at stops and go to sites that give you exercises for 'office' workers - which is 'sitting' mode kind of exercises... there's a lot of info out there just google it! lastly, drink lots of water and keep away from JUNK! pack a cooler of fresh fruit and yogurt and salads and you'll see the weight melt away...
