Do you, or have you ever been in a relationship where the other person really just doesn't show how they feel about you? Four months i've been going out with my g/f, and i know she really does like me, but she can be really selfish, and forgetful, and sometimes i don't even feel like we are dating.. i find myself thinking about this more and more and just wish she would give me a little back..it's making me go nuts.. i've talked to her about this, and she pretty much always says how she doesn't like to be like that, and she has never been like that in any past realtionships and that her ex-b/f's had the same type of problem.. i love her to death, but i don't know how much more i can go on with not getting the same thing back.. without the obvious answer of just break up, does anyone have any insight on this, please let me know...

Personally- I wouldn't put up with it. She is selfish and self centered and apparently self righteous. Please note that the above descriptions leave no room for you. That's where she's at and is just playing you. I know you asked for something insightful but if you can't see the obvious (which is to get out) then you're doomed to repeat this over and over. She obviously isn't going to change if you've spoken to her and her resistance to change is a good indication that she has used up her welcome with other men before you. You may love her but remember-- actions speak louder than words. If you're all action and she's all inaction then the only conclusion that can be drawn is you are not a good match. You need someone who can affirm what you're looking for through their actions and not someone who is take, take, take.
Good luck and have a great day!!!

Sweetie, I know you do not want to hear the obvious answer, but this sounds like a very one-sided relationship. If you have already talked to her and she is not willing to give you a little more, then SHE IS SELFISH! Why do you want to put yourself through the heartache and stress? There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Start treatin her like she treats you...You may not like to, but it's really the only way to get her to straighten out with out breaking up...And then if she starts complaining about you being mean to her try to explain that's what it feels like when she treats you like that. If she doesn't get the point, then sorry my friend the only other alternative would be to break up with her...It's really not fair to you to be putting so much into the relationship and getting treated like crap in return.

You should talk to her about this again and if nothing changes this move on. You deserve better and sometimes people must learn the hard way.

Start acting like she does and see how long it takes her to get upset about it. Then calmly explain that this is the way she makes you feel.
