there was this guy on the bus and we always smiled and looked at each other, but i never plucked up the courage to talk to him. Now I don't see him anymore and I really regret not talking to him. he got off two or three stops before me and lives really close, but may have moved away now. I always hope i might bump into him in the supermarket, but so far no luck. I know it's probably a lost cause, but does anyone have any suggestions (short of prowling the streets near where he lives/ lived, like a stalker!)

Try Craigslist.org and post in the Missed Connections section under your town. It may work. *shrugs* Or, prowl a bit around his streets -- maybe borrow a friends dog to walk or something more innocuous than say... actual stalking.
