Using the software that came with the printer produced disastrous results. I'm having to use Paint Shop Pro which is OK but something more suited to photos like iPhoto for the Mac would be ideal.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

When you open a picture file, it should, unless you've changed it, automatically open it in a preview mode using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

From this screen, you have some options at the bottom, and one is "Print". If you choose this, you have the options of the sizes, how many copies, and even how many different files you want to print.

there's a further mission with epson printers . at the same time as the cartridges are at relax they sit over a tiny sponge after a volume of time this fills up with ink wiped from the print head . at the same time as its complete the printer stops operating the pink mushy flashes and many cases an mistakes message is generated. the fee of the sponge is small the installation of the sponge by epson is astronomical. i became quoted £seventy 5 for a printer that extremely fee £40 new. guess you may want to guess what i did . the position my eppy once sat now sits a canon mp360 3 years historic and no longer a hint of a important difficulty, oh and the inks are lots more cost-effective. wish this helps

Windows XP has its own printing utility, but it's basic.
I suspect that you are looking for a program that will enable you to adjust photos before printing them. Try Irfanview, which is a free download. It enables you to tweak your pictures before printing them. The quality of your photos ultimately depends on the quality of your printer, so explore the capabilities of your printer program and select the appropriate quality by clicking on the "Preference" or "Quality" button.

You need to configure your monitor, you do that in the control panel.
You can configure the printer to match the monitor, try the manufacturers website or contact them.
Try the freeware Open Office program Draw, I've had surprisingly good results using that. You can get the prog and tutorial from;

The easiest is paint. There are any number of good programs, Photoshop, I have that and photo explosion, and some others. Depends on what you want to do.

Use MS Word by inserting selected pictures.

What you see is what you get.

The pictures can be cropped, lightened, darkened etc.
