Yes, there is. They are made of metal, and will cost more than regular screens, but they work. You may be able to find them at Home Depot, if not, ask "them" if they know "where" you can buy them. Okay? Good luck

Cat Proof Window Screens

I went to a storm door and screen repair place called the Lee Company, don't know if it's a chain or not. But, go to any company like that. We told them the problem and they fixed our screens with cat proof screen.

At first I really doubted that it would work. It does though. Have had them for 3 years. The cats are always scratching on them, trying to get in or out and I don't have a hole one in them.

They are great and they didn't cost a whole lot more than a regular screen. All my screens were torn out too. Just ask for cat proof screen. I guarantee you it works. Mine was well worth the money.

When I had cats I had the windows I opened re-screened with metal screening. Its easy enough to do if you only have a few windows, but kinda a pain, not that hard though, if you have some patience and an afternoon. It does work very well and is virtually indestructable. And your cats won't enjoy the metal nearly as much as the easily slit and run they are used to. Good luck!

my cats usually dont bother the window screens. But there is a spray at petsmart thats kind of like a kitty repelant. Its supposed to prevent them from scratching things, but it should work on the window screens as well. Wish I had more info, but I forgot the name of the spray...I havent had to buy it since I got my kitties declawed.

I don't know about cat proof, but if you get aluminum screening instead of nylon it is much tougher. For screen doors they also make a metal grate that you can attach to the bottom.

You can purchase pet-proof window screening material at Orchard Supply Hardware ... we were just there a few nights ago and they had some!

You might try other retailers, too ... perhaps Lowes or Home Depot ... but they DEFINITELY carry it at OSH!

Purrrrrrrrrrr

i've got self assurance your discomfort! My cat has an identical illness different than for venetian blinds! She chews the heck out of them! on your displays nonetheless, according to probability in simple terms take them out until eventually you progression. Is it severe which you have them in? If it worked great as a door for her interior the previous, why exchange it? in case you will possibly extremely have them in, then you definately will would desire to re-prepare her as to the hot regulations of stepping into/out. i might circulate away the show out collectively as she continues to be discovering. If she sits on the window and cries because of the fact she needs in, circulate to the door and enable her in there. She'll capture on. as quickly as she has the hot front down, then placed between the previous, already torn displays in and notice if she pays any interest to it. i don't think she's ripping it intentionally, it rather is in simple terms blockading her from her human beings!

Keep your cats inside and have their front claws taken off properly by the vet. Never let them out however as they will not be able to defend themselves. My 2 cats have rear claws only. It is not inhumane as some say. My cats love being inside.
