would it really be a mess, as someone said to my last question? or would it revive us? just give it some thought before condemning me, please. You won't change my mind anyway.
If you're afraid of the gifts of the Spirit, then you are afraid of the gift of discernment, right? In which case you're more likely to be decieved than someone who is open-minded about these things.
Yeah, the enemy tries to deceive us, but do you really think God allows those who really love Him and seek His Word, and pray a lot, and obey Him, to be decieved. No, His Word tells us that He will protect us, and it also tells us we can resist the enemy.
By the way, it's disgusting that some "Christians" are always trying to tell me I'm not saved when I ask questions like this.... sorry, we're talking ONE SPECIFIC topic. If you tell me you're a Christian, I assume you're saved. It's not my place to judge you, and I hope you can extend me the same courtesy. Keep in mind, we don't know each other.

The apostol Paul welcomed the fact that the Corinthian believers were not lacking in any gifts of the Spirit. That was a good thing in itself. It was not, however, a source of life or revival to them. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, ... (Galatians 5:22-23). Gifts of the Spirit are very useful, especially for those who are showing the fruit of the Spirit. (One aspect of the fruit of the Spirit is patience - patience with those who don't necessarily agree with you view of the gifts). If someone suggests you are not saved because they don't agree with you about the gifts, don't worry about it - that's their problem. What is important is your relationship with God and Who you are trusting in for your salvation.
So - gifts of the Spirit, great - praise the Lord for them. But they are worse than useless without the fruit of the Spirit.
Gifts of the Spirit are not the evidence of having the Spirit, of course. The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence.

I would hope that all Christians would strive for the spiritual gifts. They're tools, and given for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom. There is a kingdom principle of accord: Where two or three are gathered, God is in the midst of them....when they were all in one accord, the power of the Holy Spirit fell....
The gifts of the Holy Spirit aren't given to divide us, but to bring us together to a place of greater spiritual health and power. Even Paul prays that all would receive the spiritual gifts. Why? Because Jesus said that "you will do even greater things than I" - these things he's is refering to cannot be accomplished without the same Holy Spirit power that Jesus posessed.

Not sure if I fully understand, however, I agree that if Christians live a Christian life, always seeking after the Gifts of God, they would be a lot more happy, a lot more able to deal with the problems of the world, and a better Christian. Seeking after the truth from God will always lead to it, if you ask Him, He will give it to you in His way and in His time.

At the moment of salvation, a believer receives The Holy Spirit. Not some, but all. Not all are given the same gifts of the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:28-30, "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?"

WOW, just to the question, IF every Christian utilised what God has given, OH LORDY, it would be awesome. We wouldnt be fighting over useless points and politics, we would be loving everyone in Christ's perfect love. However, things all work to the glory of God, and if that is the case, then all we need to do is to study, worship, have faith, and preach the word. Yes, we NEED a revival, which is slowly happening...

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are in operation today! The only ones that don't know it...are the un-believers.
I've seen the gifts at work. Which means, no one can change my mind!
The Trinity ROCKS!!!

ok as an Agnostic i could have say that this isn't any longer completely impossible for there to be those "so referred to as presents & culmination from some ghoust". With that being suggested, we could basically attempt to decide what your asking: who're the 'they' that say an interpreder could be latest while some dude has a slot in church? 'They' had superb call an ambulance. the full critisim on the healer and money is with the help of the fact rather some those travleing ingredient shows promise the undesirable and elderly a soreness loose existence,"yet you're able to offer -ITH TOO-ITH THE LOR-DA!" it is ussually why. yet those small ones do no longer even compair to those on the television, gold chairs....., come-on, somethings basically no longer precise. the full blasphemy ingredient, your in actuality asserting if somebody "working below the lord" is discovered doing some thing incorrect/illigal its ok; And in case you assert something your going to hell or if its the sixteenth centrury a women people is going to get burned to dying. So i wish this facilitates, and to sum up i think of absolutely everyone could have faith in spite of they choose do basically no longer attempt to stress me to abide by using your faith with the aid of my rules. Oh yeah do no longer burn absolutely everyone the two please.

What a terrific world it would be. If all "Christians" were operating in their gifts, Satan would be virtually powerless against the church. We would be unified rather then fragmented, no more denominations yea. The church would still be growing every day, like in the book of Acts. Satan would be sooooo mad, but he could not do a thing about it because we would already know, and have our defenses in place.
