why dont you go to a humane society and take an animal that maybe isnt just a baby. you could save a life. people that go out an hunt for kittens just to have a kitten shouldnt be allowed to have pets. They are not a fruit ( season ) they are living beings

A female cat can theoretically come into season at any time! In my experience they are likely to come into season in January and then continue every three weeks until mid Summer. with a pedigree cat you can tell by the cries they make but with others they become more affectionate. A kitten can become pregnant at five months! so if you do not want kittens you should keep an eye on it until it is six months and have her neutered.

Male kittens do not mature quite so quickly bot again consider neutering at six months.

I do hope that you find a kitten.

I work at a cat animal sanctuary, The thing is you are less likely to get a kitten at this time. Most of cats have kittens between spring and most at june/july.
This does not mean that you cant get a kitten now, many were born late august/september and are still little.
And there are always exceptions to this rule, some cats mayte at other times so keep your eyes out. Animal sanctuaries are always a good place to start as they likely have lots of mums/ pregnant cats
hope this helpful x

I have seen it said that most cats mate between April and October. This is said to be the "in" season for kittens. However cats are in heat several times a year and will mate whenever they can. Check you local Humane Society or go to a pet store that has pet adoptions. I'm sure you won't have any trouble.

Cats unlike birds such as Grouse, pheasant and other game birds do not have a season as such. This can make hunting them down a little tricky as one may never know where they are hiding ;-))

You could try one of the many RCPA centers around the country or other charities that look after lost, abandoned or stray cats. I my experience there are always a plentifull supply of cute Kittens to be found.

Cats can have dozens and dozens of litters of kittens. I don't

understand your question -- I think you were making a joke,

maybe? I think "in season" means a cat is able to get

pregnant, which is pretty often. My cats used to meow

incessantly during that time and want to go outside. I got

them "fixed" though because there are too many cats in

the world with no homes.

go times to get kittens are in the spring and fall. cats are pregant for 3 months before they give birth. cats usually can have up to 3 litters in a year but very rarely they have 4. kittens are around all the time but the best time to get one is in the end of fall and the end of spring for the best variety

Cats don't have seasons like dogs, the ovulate (release eggs)once mating has taken place, so they can become pregnant at any time through out the year.
