It depends, if YOU really want to have sex with him then go for it. Be sure that's all you want because maybe that's all it will be. Don't expect it to be "making love" or one of many great, emotional, deeply spiritual experience. In fact if I was you I would be ready to say good bye to the guy after he sleeps with you. You know how many, many guys just walk out of a girls life after they get in her pants.
In the other hand you could wait, make him wait, and then he could still leave after and never return.
Or then again, he could be "the one" and you won't know until you get to know him for more than one week. I any case, good luck!

You should do whatever you feel is right. If you are looking for sex and have a strong sex drive, don't worry about what other people think. If he leaves then it won't be because of sex. It will be because you were not meant to be.

if you want a casual relationship, just hop into bed with him already!!! if you want him to like and respect you and create a situation for a serious relationship, you're going to have to hold back on the hormones for the first few dates (at least)
