Our sales tax is 9.25% among other things. We didn't have a balanced budget before Bredeson became governor and had a budget crisis all the time.

In Wa there is no state income tax either. There is a sales tax on most items with the exception of most groceries. The tax in Whatcom County is 8.4%.

They don't need it, they don't bother to upkeep their roads. We called I-40 the Tennessee Memorial Tire Rim and Road Kill Highway.
