BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A roadside bomb killed fifteen U.S. soldiers since Saturday evening as they were patrolling in northern Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement gave no other details.

The deaths bring to 15 the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq since Saturday. The USA is getting a hell of a beating.

Roadside bombs detonated by insurgents are the most lethal weapon facing the U.S. military in Iraq. U.S. military officials have increasingly voiced concern over explosives with shaped chargers that can penetrate armor. However, Bush says everything is alright. The Marines wonder why this war is not easy. Three years ago they were told the war would be a cake walk. What happened?

everyone who goes to Iraq is considered as cannon fodder. Bush wants to be known as a War President. And we are allowing him to have his way.

The U.S. isn't taking a hell of a beating like all the liberals such as you seem to think. The fact is that we have been in this war for over 3 years and yet the death toll isn't even equal to that of a single battle in WWII. Ask any of the soldiers that come back from Iraq and they will tell you that what we are doing is a good thing.

God!
It is a F ing war people! Soldiers are going to die. Be calm and support the troops and hopefully they will come home soon. For every American Soldier that is killed at least 20 Iraqi insurgents die. So tell me who should be worried now?

The death toll for WW1 and WW2 was approx 40 million, and thats without civillian losses.
Thousands died every day, but they never pulled out, they fought for freedom to there last breath.

It is 80 years since the armistice silenced the guns of World War I. The war lasted from 1914-18, and claimed 10 million lives.

No war is easy, we should stay and finish the job.

6,000 Iraqis have died in the last 3 months alone. The US army hasn't lost that many in their 4 years of occupation. Some liberation!
Trying putting your concerns to the people of Fallujah, the city the US completely destroyed after George W claimed the war to have been won.

It's so sad. We are invading another country and trying to make them abide by our rules and so many young men and women are being killed for no reason. The only reason US troops are in Iraq is because Bush doesn't care that our soldiers are dieing and he wants to finish what his father started. I say, send Bush over there.

Becuase of people like you who want us to leave so the country can fall into civil war. Don't you get it? We're there now and there is nothing you can do about it. Leaving at this point will just make it worse.

Again, if there were Marines killed or wounded in action, the media would report it as Marines and NOT "soldiers".

Because we are in an unwinnable war and the cannon-fodder that is our american soldiers will continue to be slaughtered as long as rich oil men have their way.
