my 5 month old kitten has this toy he absolutely loves and will caryy it around where ever he goes and he'll play with for hours...he also seems to break this toy about a week after i go get a new one, now im in a bind and the store where i used it get it no longer has them on the shelf and a worker told me its a luck of the draw, they buy them assorted and sometimes they get them, sometimes they dont...its very inexpensive (i think less then $2 for a string with bells, glitter balls and feathers)...he seems to get upset when its gone...how can i get him to "favor" a new toy?

Well if it's just a string with bells, glitter balls, and feathers, that sounds like something you might be able to make yourself. You can get all that stuff at a craft store. Just make sure that if you need glue, you get something non-toxic.

You could try putting a little bit of cat nip on it, if you don't have any then maybe a little piece of cheese or even bread. Cats love bread. If he doesn't get used to it maybe you can find a little feather to stitch on this new toy if he likes the feathers that much.

it is easy!!you can buy a new toy before the old one be expired and try to show it to him and you yourself play with this new toy in front of his eyes so that he become familiar with it .
So he soon forgot that old toy.
don't forget that childs likes new toys!?
