anything that is cooked is fine. High temperature will kill e-coli. Now they are finding it on strawberry's and broccoli and lettuce. Its in the soil, from the stream over flowing into the streams and not from anything the farmers did or used on the crop itself. One suspect is the animal farms up stream from the crops polluting the stream.

It was on fresh spinach from California. But some of that ban has been lifted on spinach from the Salinas Valley. Canned and frozen is OK. So is fresh spinach you cook first.
I can't wait until they figure this out so I can have a spinach salad in peace again!

Its only the fresh spinach,keep in mind that your can spinach has preobably ben in the can months before the e coli outbreak-----If you are unsure feed your husband some and if he dont get sick then you are probably safe to ear some yourself ----- Just kidding --

It's only on fresh spinach because spinach that is canned has already been boiled...but I don't think I could eat it either

I'm no dragon expert, far from it, but I can tell you that Spinach is high in Oxalic Acid which prevents the absorption of calcium and is strictly a no no for tortoises.

The ban was only on the prepackaged spinach. It's since been lifted. Canned is okay as far as I know.

yes the can spinach is fine and they found that the bad spinach only came friom the salina valley in calf i just wish the media would get there facts straight as when it is realeased and you are a s[pinach lover you might as well gobuy gold...it will ptrobably be cheaper....

yea cause they took all cans off all the store shelf so you are safe and it could not show up that it came from can spinach
