Bleach doesnt HAVE to damage your hair. If its done correctly than it can actually be quite safe!! If you trust your stylist, then you should be fine!

1. Dye damages your hair. Be ready for dried, frizzy hair to battle with.
2. Hair grows faster than you might think. Root upkeep is a must.
3. If you don't like it, you're pretty much stuck for awhile. You should wait at least 6 weeks before changing the color, or stripping it to reduce the damage to your hair.
4. You have to be careful what you put on your hair. Different chemicals can react with the dye changing your hair color to something you don't want.

Make sure the the color you add is the same tone as your natural hair. If you have honey brown hair, and add ash blonde, not only will it look fake, but it won't blend nicely. Whatever the shade of your natural color, you should keep it in the lighter blonde for the best results.

Bleaching can damage your hair. If your must pay the money to use bleach to achieve your highlights, I would recommend that you also spend the money to purchase a really good shampoo and conditioner. There are many brands out there that you can buy, and your stylist will recommend what she feels is best for you. Personally, I use Paul Mitchell Shampoo for color treated hair and "The Conditioner" It is a good combo because the Shampoo provides moisture while leaving your hair clean without a build up. The conditioner is very versatile. You can use it as a leave in or rinse out. It can even be used as a lotion or facial moisturizer. Hope this Helps and Good Luck
