I was scared to fly until I came from Australia to Florida...4 plane trips in two days. When I first got on I just imagined I was on a train...it helped a lot. I didnt look out of the window though thats for sure. There was a bit of turbulence which wasnt very much fun but I just listened to some music and made a few fingernail imprints into the seat. After all those flights though on the last leg from Atlanta to Tallahassee it was a small plane and there was a thunderstorm and to be honest I was too tired to care. I watched through the window as we took off and realised I had gotten over my fears. Good luck with yours.

Try going to a local general aviation airport some time, and go for a discovery flight with an instructor or just the plane's pilot, and ask them to allow you to fly the plane for a while. Sounds scary and very crazy, but I know many who have done this, and once you get the feeling of how easy and fun it is, and the great view from the flightdeck, you will quickly get over your fear of flying.

(Safety fact: in one month, more people die around the worldin car accidents then a couple of years in aircraft)

When I have had to fly, I could never help but imagine I might crash. This is pretty natural.

But once I was in the seat, I gave up the anxiety and waited for the thrill of takeoff (probably one of the more dangerous phases of flight). Once in the air I reassured myself with the thought of how many planes were always flying around and how few crashes you actually hear about.

If you are so scared that you might cancel out on it, get some valium or klonopin. Xanax can make you freak out.

You won't believe this but, I can't believe such a thing exists. I've been on airplanes since I was a kid. The sensation isn't enough to make me think otherwise. It feels like a living room ( overcrowded ) with an odd view. How on earth would anyone get the sensation of flight like that? You'd definitely have to be in a single engine aircraft ( two seater ) or a chopper going low with the doors rolled open.

The fear of flying is actually connected to your fear of dying, I dont worry about dying in a plane, I have accustomed myself to the fact that if I am in a plane that mulfunctions( which is rare) or collides with another plane (which is exceptionally rare) and is going down, there is nothing that I can do about it because I on the flight with everyone else and if we are in the situation of a "no escape" air accident, all I can do is pray for my soul and for my family, that they will be okay when I am gone. My real biggest worry is for all of my family, Mum, Dad,Brothers, Sisters, Wife, Kids, rather than myself. Thats how I deal with it, maybe its also that I LOVE flying in aircraft why I dont worry about it.

I have piloted small aircraft and flown countless times as a passenger in commercial airlines. It is actually the safest mode of transportation. You are far more likely to get into an automobile accident than have a mishap with the airliner. Commercial airlines today have backup systems for backup systems. Very, very safe. Thank you for flying Phoenix Airlines, enjoy your flight.

Get some winter air for the tires, a flight line, some frequency oil and a bucket of prop wash

Working it with parachutes or high gliding, it will take will, yet support trust and companion, which are far more needed than fright. If any fear or unthought emotions avoiding any activities ocurr it is advised to play along and push him around with eyes covered for three minutes, that is it.
