Diary products are rich in Fats and Carbohydrates. Body derives energy from Carbohydrates and Fats ( also from proteins when the Carbohydrates and Fats are not sufficient ).
The main unit of energy is glucose.
It is easier to digest cardohydrates and obtain glucose from it but it is relatively more difficult to digest fats. When all the three constituents are available, the body will try to derive glucose by disintegrating carbohydates and will spare proteins and fats. Hence there will be accumulation of fats in the adipose tissue. When the continuous intake of fat rich food is done, then it will lead to obesity.

Yes and no.

It isn't milk that helps you stay slimmer as the above poster is stating. It is the calcium within milk. However whole milk has lots of saturated fat which is bad for you. Fat Free dairy products are good without the added saturated fat and drawbacks of dairy. Many many people are lactose intolerant so this does create a problem.

While spinach has calcuim and there are vegetable sources of it, there are recent studies that may indicate that the human body is not as able to absorb vegetable calcuim as effectively as dairy. However this is not well settled. I don't have a link for the absorbtion of calcium from veggies, but I would not rely heavily on that info as spinach (once we are rid of the e-coli problem) is something that you should be eating heavily in your diet anyway.

If all the above does no longer convey effects, search for suggestion from a health practitioner, as you've some thing else occurring that's invaluable to attend to.

Only the high fat ones like full fat yogurt, milk, sour cream, table cream etc. Go for the low-fat or non-fat options and you'll be fine. There's plenty out there.

Unburned calories cause weight gain. Everything else is negligible. (But be sure to eat a balanced diet.)
