My 4 yr. old daughter continues to have accidents every day. (Only #1, never #2) It's usually just 1 a day, but happens every day, either at pre-school or home. I have tried treats, punishments, funny games and songs, even taken her to the doctor twice to make sure there was no medical problems. She just won't stop and go potty! I AM STUMPED!! Any suggestions???

Stop making a fuss about it. She maybe is doing it now for the attention it gets her. When she has an accident, don't make a big deal of it, change her clothes, quietly, and go on about your day. Have your pre-school provider do the same. When it stops getting her "special" attention, it's likely to stop. Good Luck!

She may just be so wrapped up in what she is doing, that she forgets until it is too late. Try reminding her after you know she's had something to drink. Ask her 'do you have to go potty?' Teach her to take time before she does a certain thing like 'before you go play think about if you have to potty' if you can get her to slow down, maybe she'll think about it more.

My little brother used to go #2 until about four. We just asked him around the time when it was most frequent 'do you have to potty?' Whenever her went to the bathroom to urinate, we'd ask you need to potty? Eventually, he started noticing that he did have to, and he would tell us.

Hope it works.

My daughters did this daily too. Twins. The older one would get really embarassed by it. Try pull ups that give that cool sensation when the pull up is wet. Going potty might not distract her, but feeling something cool instead of warm might. At preschool, when you get there, have her go potty before going to her classroom. At home, remind her to go potty, even if you have to stop her activity and take her to the restroom yourself

I would say that everyday is a little excessive, but everyone is different. My four year olds have accidents also, but it is usually (most of the time) while they are asleep....when they are playing, it's not like they wanna get up and go potty, that isn't as fun as what they are doing. She will grow out of it, it's just a phase...don't worry.

i might say because of the discomfort the place she is getting it it extremely is constipation and the left facet of the tummy is often the place the discomfort is felt and likewise shows the blockage, ussually she are in a position to bypass some poo notwithstanding that's going to ultimately provide up. the uti may well be because of this blockage or thoroughly unrelated. your maximum suitable guess is to work out a thoroughly new well being care expert do not say you till now observed yet another well being care expert as they could think of you're a frightened overproetective discern and not take you heavily, try this asap yet be conscious little ones are resilent and in many situations time can treatment something if she gets a temperature or vomits bypass to emergency :) stable luck

I would put her on the potty around the time she has the accidents. She is probably to engrossed with play or the TV. As my mom says. " No one goes to Kindergarten in Diapers." Good Luck

Girl, try Pull-Ups. It's ok.

I have a 4yo and she has an accident on occassion. But if you know it is a problem, just put a pull-up on. I do that for her on road trips. Hate using the restrooms ONN THE ROAD.

Just give her time. Some kids are different...keep a pair of pullups or something like that around and keep reminding her to use the bathroom.
