yeah,... pilates is AWESOME. especially paired with some cardio!! 2 years ago i really got into working out, i went to the gym in the morning, did 30-40 min of elliptical/treadmill, and at night i would do pilates at home (i bought that Windsor Pilates video from the infomercial...they sell it at target and wal mart now too!), and it really makes ur body look Lean.

i am just starting to get back into exercising again, and it's so hard to be motivated. once u start it tho, u will see results after a couple of months! good luck~

Depends. All ab excercises will do is stregthen your abs. in order for them to become visible you must lower your body fat %.

around 8-9% for men is necessary to begin to see them, not sure what it is for women.

You need to do more than crunches, you need a routine of multiple ab excercises that hits more than one group. Your abs are a series of muscles not just the 6 pack you see and it is your "core" so it improves the stregth of your other excercises as well.

You need to work your upper and lower abs, obliques and transverse abdominis and back.

To make them visible Diet is 90% of the battle. The other ten should be a mix of HIIT (high intensity interval training) and a weight routine designed to build lean muscle (not bulk up).

YOu don't say how tall you are or your age. It all matters. But you have to do 2 things to get abs:

1. Low body fat
2. Lots of crunches or whatever

Make sure you target your obliques as well. Hanging leg lifts are great, all you need is a pull up bar or something similiar to hang from. Then lift your legs to your torso.

Crunches, pilates, some ballet moves. They should help you. I STRONGLY recommend Pilates! It's all about the core abs.
