Put her in a dress, put a sun hat on her, and give her a basket with fake vegetables in it. She could be Mary from "Mary Mary Quite Contrary".

She could be "Old Mother Hubbard". Put her in a dress and give her a stuffed puppy dog and a bone.

A pretty dress can be transformed with a sash improvised from a silky scarf, with a huge bow at the back. Shoes can be transformed again using ribbons, lots of wool or an old tie, knotted somewhere onto the shoe and again tied in a giant bow. Wool can be cut into lengths and fashioned into plaits or fake ponytails by attaching them to a stretchy hairband & putting them into her hair- if you have the wool(or other threads/yarn), and time! Once you have these basics covered, decide on a character and accessorise - as above, spider for miss muffet, shells for mary mary, pail for jill, lamb for mary, sheep for bo peep, 3 bears for goldilocks, heart for queen of hearts, kettle for polly, etc. Good Luck!!

What about Little Miss Muffet, you will need a pretty dress which you may have already, a spider it is nearly hallowe'en so that one is easy, a bowl and spoon. No sewing no fuss, job done. I hope this helps.

Little Red Riding Hood - all she needs is a red cloak, which is easily knocked up. Can you pop out to a supermarket for needles, thread etc if you need them?

Good luck!

It really depends on what you have at home to adapt.

Cat costume should be easyish, there is one in hey didle didle and ding dong bell.

Mary Mary/Little bo Peep/Little miss muffet, if you have an old bridesmaid, or party dress.

Blind mice (mouse ears, tail and sun glasses, Grey sweat suit)
Jack and Jill (Shorts and pail)

You probably have a lot of things. Look through the Halloween stuff.

Put her in a cute dress and give her a "pail" and put a band-aid on her knee. She can be Jill from Jack & Jill. To help others understand one of my daughters costumes I got one of those "HELLO my name is" stickers...you could do that and write Jill on it.
