1. Potato stamp. Cut a potato in half, each child gets half. They can carve any shape/letters....then dip into paint and put on paper to make a picture/pattern. They may try writing a letter or something constructive

Well you have a problem with your 2 to 4 years old, sitting them down to do a craft is going to be hard. If you decide to do a holiday craft make sure that the child celebrates holidays. Search craft ideas for kids in yahoo and you will get a lot of website you can check out.

Well it's almost the holidays, try soing some holiday crafting, like decorating pumpkins or making scarecrows or even cards. For christmas you could make stockings or ornaments or even a miniature christmas tree. There is so much you can do with the holidays coming up.

Well the motor skills of the younger kids will limit what kind of end-products you will end up with, but there are a lot of things that the older kids can do. It also depends on if you are teaching them a particular skill or just want to have fun... what kind of materials you can gather or what you might have to buy. I've listed some of the sites that fellow teachers and I have compiled to assist us in broadening the types of activities that we do at our kindergartens. Let me know if any of them are helpful. the first two are my favorites!

Maybe you could try paper plate masks for a Halloween party. Or, try decorating cookies. It would require work making cookies at home, but it would be something that all of the kids could get into no matter what age.

I always loved working with macaroni, glue and glitter. Perhaps draw on paper plates, glue and decorate? :)
