Who are you calling God when you claim "God said" or citing the "word of God"?

And, where did you get the idea that those words are the "word of God" if God himself did not literally tell you that they were?

Be specific as to the source (who actually spoke the words) for your claim that what you repeat is the "word of God."

I didn't ask about hearing voices in your head. I asked if you had been literally spoken to.

We all "hear" voices in our heads regardless what we believe. It's called "thinking."

Actually, sticky boy, I'm sitting at my desk drinking coffee and enjoying my day.

If what your God is telling you causes you to have that kind of reaction, maybe you should turn the dial and find another station.

I believe that the Lord God speaks to us through his prophet on earth George W. Bush. Thus clearly he wants us to kill Iraqis, take all the oil, poison the earth, enrich the big corporations, de-forest the land, and eschew literacy.

When I was very young, before I learned to read and write, God spoke to me regularly in my dreams. I know it was God because the voice I heard was exactly as it is described in the Torah...like a multitude of voices forming a deep voice. The voice would both scare and fascinate me at the same time. I wanted to hear everything it said and was sad when it would go away...usually right before I woke up. I don't remember exact words since it has been 40 years of adulthood since I last heard the voice speak out loud but generally it would be admonishments for some of my bad actions since the last time He spoke and instructions to be strong against moments of weakness.

Remember the last time I heard the voice was when I was seven or eight. I did not grow up in a religious house...my parents never went to church and I never went to church until I was in High School. In fact I was pretty much an atheist by fourth grade. However in my adult life God has spoken to me many times through my heart...it's just so hard for us to listen over the din of our "reality".

John 17:3 in each and every translation of the Bible says that there are 2, the genuine God(Psalms 80 3:18 KJV "Jehovah") and the only Jehovah sent forth (Jesus Christ) Col a million:13-15 says Jesus is the at first creation. John 20:17 Jesus says he has a Father whilst he says MY Father, Jesus additionally says he has a God whilst he suggested MY God. in case you will have self assurance what the Bible says, then it rather is sparkling to those organic in heart, it rather is sparkling as airborne dirt and dust to those that have been blinded by potential of the God of this methodology of issues, devil(2 C0 4:4)

well..God has never spoke to my as a voice but he has spoken to me through the Bible. Yea, it's the word of God. God had many different people to write the bible. He spoke to them as they wrote it.

For your question "who are you calling God?" This God I'm calling is the creator of Heaven and Earth. The creator of us humans. The Creator of everything in this world, universe. This is the almighty God.

Another of your question "Where did I get the idea that those words are the word of God." The Bible itself tell us that the Bible is the Holy Bible. The word of God. Yes it's true that God did not tell me in a voice that it is the Word of God because God is holy and i'm not. I can't see Him. I'm not too sure if I really can hear Him but the word of God has enough proof that God is the one that wrote the Bible.

I hope this helps you. (: If you need anymore information email me at sharlynyeo_1@yahoo.com.sg

No he does not speak to us with his own voice, it would be so loud it would kill us. He speaks to us through his son, JESUS CHRIST, he brought us his fathers words, he spoke them to the apostles a long time ago, they wrote them down in letters, and later on when all the letters were put together, then by the inspiration of God,they were written down by men God chose to write them, in the order in which God wanted us to receive them.... this is what is called,,,, THE HOLY BIBLE,,,, THE KING JAMES VERSION,not all these fake bibles that are coming up today. All these other bibles were not written by the inspiration of GOD, THEY REALLY ARE JUST OF MEN..

When facing dificult situations I will pray to God for guidance and wisdom in order to approach the situation in accordance with Gods will. Often through prayer and meditation verses from Gods word will fill my mind speaking to me . These are the words of God and that guidance through knowledge of his word is key to sharing a close realtionship with God. He left us his word and we need to be able to apply it in our lives. I do not need to hear an audible voice to know what God has in mind for me.

I heard His voice and my spirit knew it was him, this is something that you do not understand , nor can you.But you don't want to know the answers, all you want is to argue out of a love of conflict, and it is not a claim it is a fact, period, you cannot refute it, you cannot deny it, you can go into denial if you wish, and if you pound your fist in anger and shake your head at this response, then i will shake my head at you shaking your head at me,,God exists period, accept it. You cannot stop it, you will convert anyone to your way of thinking, you will just be frustrated

I had a boyfriend in high school who would literally talk to God. We would be in class during free time and he would go sit in the corner and talk to God. When he came back he would have quotes from God i.e. "God said 'Donna' is destined to be my wife." and "God said I have a choice, follow my desires to Europe or say hear and do his work." It was a bit strange and I got out of that relationship ASAP.

God speaks literally word for word to humanity in the Holy Qur'an.

Muhammad (pbuh) simply transmitted it to society.
