The gum is sugar-free and does not break easily. I do not chew the gum at all. I would just like to avoid any offensive breath at work. I know this seems like an odd question, but I don't want to break my fast.
Thank you... :)

No you cannot put anything in your mouth, neither to eat nor for bad breath. You are however allowed to use Miswak, rinse the mouth with water (without gargling), and to use Miswak ie.brush your teeth once(for hygene only such as when you have not brushed yet for the day). What most ppl dont realise is that when you fast, a film is being removed from your toungue which causes the bad breath. It is constant eating which makes it hard for this film to break down completely. After a few days of fasting and proper oral hygene the film is gone and breath is better than a non-faster The Prophet Muhammad Peace and prayers upon him said that the breath of a fasting person is sweeter To God than the scent of musk

No. Obviously you can't.
If you do that, you will break your fast. If you pray 5 times a day, you would do Wadhu (Ablution), and obviously you would wash your mouth, which would probably help you avoid as much as you can. Also, after your Sehari in the morning, you should wash your teeth and have a mouth freshner for a while. During the fast you can't do that if you want to keep your fast.

You can use Miswak to clean your teath. That's gonna help a lot if you keep using it.

No, you cannot do that. It doesn't matter that the gum is sugar free. It that you cannot do this without breaking your fast for the same reason that the gun will help your breath. Your saliva will mix with the gum and you will swallow that saliva and that will invalidate your fast.

No, it's not ok to do so because the flavor of gum mixed with ur saliva will be swallowed causing ur fast to break.. however, you can rinse your mouth with mouth wash (as long as u dont swallow any) or brush your teeth every so often.

In the 80's and 90's music was about enjoying life and living the moment, now majority of it is the opposite and music has a big impact on people and cultures.

No it's not okay to keep a gum in your mouth while fasting. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said regarding this issue:

"And the scent coming from the mouth of the one fasting when he breaths out from the food (he ate previously) is more pleasant in the sight of Allaah than the smell of musk" [Reported by Ibn Hibbaan and Ahmad]

This scent, although disliked by the people who smell it in this world will, however, be more pleasant in smell in the sight of Allaah than the scent of musk. This is because it is something that originates from the obedience to Allaah.

Ibn Hibbaan (rah) said: "The sign that will mark the believer on the Day of Judgement is the brightness (of their faces) due to their ablution (wudoo') in this world, causing a distinction between them and the rest of the nations. And their mark on the Day of Judgement due to their fasting will be pleasant smelling breath, more pleasant in the sight of Allaah than the scent of musk. This is in order that they may be known amidst that group for that deed. We ask Allaah to grant us blessing on that day." [See Saheeh Ibn Hibbaan (8/211)]
