My son decided to clean the TV and sprayed windex into the buttons on the front panel. this is a Sony Wega Trinitron. Now when i turn on the TV it is stuck on Video1, you cannot use the remote now, and when you try to press the buttons, it goes right back to Video1... is there some way to clean this, or should i just let it dry? Please Help!!!

Spray the button assy with meths after first trying a little on the tv panel where the buttons are , if the meths does not affect the plastic then go ahead and spray the meths well into the buttons , work the buttons several times to get the meths to penetrate let the surplus run out and dry then try it , with a bit of luck it should be ok ! If you you don`t like the meths idea then go to your local electronics store where you can buy a can of circuit board cleaner which should not react with plastics etc , Over the years I have dealt with similar problems with out trouble and that would be my approach !!
