Do you guys appreciate a girl who is needy or independent? And...why? I would love to hear your opinions.

Eventually all boys and girls do grow up to a mature person. There is nothing wrong in being needy or independent.. but both behaviours must have some degree of control to it. Too independent can show pride, while too needy can show emotional immaturity. Someone who doesn't show neediness on the other hand might look aloof or no feelings. All of these are EQ, emotional quotient, which is learned over time as we grow older. A girl or a boy, should just be you, the best that you can be all the time, not just one time. Just be sincere with yourself.

I am not sure "appreciate" is the right word. Some people (not just guys) like a partner that is independent and some like the needy types.
In general, people are looking for someone that fulfills a need. I think the best fit is someone that is independent but wants to share their life, hopes and dreams. Too independent can be too distant. Too needy does not warrant respect.

It depends on the guy, and where he is in his life! Independence is always nice, but, once in a while a needy girl is fun too. Dont be too needy for too long though, we will get sick of it!!!

One who is independant of course......they seem to appreciate what the guy does for her more often, cause it gives her a break from her daily routine. A needy gal won't appreciate nothing, just expects you to do this and that, and usually complains afterwards.....so, ya..independant women rock!!

well it doesn't matter, a girl is needy or independent, if she loves me and i love her, then all her problems are mine and i will try my level best to solve it, and get her out of any problem, if she has one, and try to make her independent.

I like women who make me feel wanted, but are independent enough that I don't have to worry about her not being able to spend time away from each other. She needs to have her own things to do otherwise she will get really boring to talk to.

sure why not .... Independence is what the current generation is about ... would like and appreciate such a person ... Need is something that every one requires some point of time .... It all depends in future......

It depends. Needy girls, in my experience tend to be better at making me feel special and appreciated.
In contrast, independent girls are okay, as long as they are not constantly asserting their independence. That is a major turnoff.
