"Jesus saith, except ye repent and be born again, ye cannot see the kingdom of heaven."

he talks of a litteral pain in hell forever for rejecting the joy of salvation Revelation 20:10&15 "Behold i Jesus love you, and knock on your heart to come in and deliver from sins and become your friend."

so once i believed Isaiah about the Messiah (52vs13-53vs12 He will be exaulted but first marred more than any man. He will lay down his life as an atonement for sins."
I believed and prayed-Messiah im sorry for my sins, come into my heart and save me, be my friend, amen " he floods me with joy and the word of heaven my home in my heart now.

what do u cling to for joy and hope of not going to hell???

You've been mislead by Satan! Pray 40 times then spin around on your head. C'mon dude! It seems like your clinging to a lie. Even if you're not atheist you don't have to be a crazy christian! Even the late Pope John Paul said that Hell is not a physical place of torment but a metaphor and a way to get numbers into the church. Grow up and read something else besides the Bible.

Let me ask you something:

Do you believe the Koran? According to the Koran, it's the infalliable, perfect word of God. It says so repeatedly, on nearly every page. Over a millenium of religious scholarship has been devoted to and based on this. It also says quite clearly that Jesus was not divine, and that believing so condemns you to hell.

Do you find this argument a compelling reason to change your mind?

No? What if someone were to quote the Koran to you. Would you believe it then?

I'm with you, actually. I don't think it makes a convincing case. It's self-referential and relies on itself for validation. There's no empirical evidence to believe that it's true.

I feel the exact same way about Christianity.

Fortunately for me i do not live in fear of an angry and vengeful god. I know and understand that god is not a being but a journey into enlightenment. He does not punish or reward, and when you are ready you will enter into the experience of enlightenment. So you see I need not cling to anything since life is a struggle for everlasting peace, and a place such as hell would only interrupt your journey, and what kind of god would do such a thing? Oh yeah I know! Your god!!

As a pagan, I protect all animals, I would never eat any nor harm any.
But that is NOT because a deity has threatened me (like "if you do this, you will be punished" or so).
No, I simply love all animals and don't want to harm them. It comes out of myself, my inner will and feelings, and is not pressured by any god or goddess onto me.

And you, I feel very sorry for you. You are into a very crude mindset, and I hope you will find your way out of that and recover and become healthy again.

I don't have to cling to anything because I live in the real world (instead of some fantasy) and know that Hell doesn't exist.

Why would I cling to anything to avoid a fictitious punishment? Your argument has just as much weight as fearing the return of Pantagruel...

There is joy in life and there is no hell beyond what we make.

You are worshiping other men and are going to "hell" if your Supreme Being actually exists.
