to strive - to push yourself to achieve, to seek - to find, look for to find self explanatory and not to yield - yield means to give way allow another to achieve at your demise
so bascially - push yourself to achieve, and look for and find success but without letting anyone else make you give in - being determined
hope this helps

You need to break down the sentence for each verb; think of what each word means then come up with your conclusion.
strive (1) seek (2) find (3) = not to yield (4)
1+2+3=4

Strive = work hard, struggle for
Seek = look for
Find = locate
Not to yield = Don't give up
Therefore, work hard, keep your eyes open, realise what you're looking for (usually happiness) and don't give up.
In other words, be sheer bloodyminded!!
(note; its usually easier to quote the section of the poem, in case the preceding or following lines are related)

I read this twice. The way you layer longer story-related prose is admirable, and something I have much trouble with. You make it seem effortless, natural, but all of us who write know the opposite is true. I often measure the effectiveness of a piece by the number of TD's........Jealousy rears it's green head. Kudos to you, Mr Carney.

TO STRIVE TO SEEK TO FIND
TO LOOK FOR TO SPEND TIME LOOKING AT YOURSELF AND THE SURROUNDINGS
AND NOT TO YIELD
TO NEVER GIVE UP EVEN WHEN THE ANSWER YOU FIND IS NOT THE ONE YOU WANTED OR LIKE

it means try your hardest to look for (something /someone) so that you can find (whatever) and do not give up /in
had a look now i think it means ---- the king is being nostalgic about his younger days and remembering being adventurous and sailing the seas trying to find new lands facing the chalenges and never giving in whatever the odds against him

To keep going, despite setbacks; to keep looking towards one's goal; to be successful in attaining it; not to give in, but to hang on to what one has obtained.
