Most Legal Immigrants are from Mexico ( My Nation ) because my fellow Mexicans in what is now the S.W didn't cross the border, the border crossed them. So they become Americans. ( Mostly the wealthy ones) ( the poor ones were kicked out.

Other Legal immigrants followed by Mexicans were Germans and Italians.
but... where were your immigrants ancestors from?

I am Irish, German, Cherokee Indian. Just a little mixed up but they still call me white. My features leaned more toward my moms family My mother is 100% Irish. My father is 1/2 Cherokee 1/2 German. Just to look at my father u would think he was of Mexican decent but not...... that brown skin tends to fool many...My brother leaned toward the Indian side of the family and many people still confuse him with Mexicans ..... lots of stereotyping

Don't forget the English, Scots, & Irish who came legally also.

I also reject your claim that "Most Legal Immigrants are from Mexico ( My Nation )": The number of mexican nationals absorbed into the United States was negligible compared to other European immigrants in the United States at the time that the Southwest states became US Territory

Father's Side: Scotland, Germany, Ojibawa

Mother's Side: Switzerland, England

I was born in Puerto Rico. My ancestors come from the Catalunya and Valencia regions of Spain. Puerto Rico has been a commonwealth of the US since the 1950s, so we are not illegal immigrants.

My ancestors sadly hurt the island's population of the Taínos, the Native Indians, to extinction, just like the European immigrants hurt the American tribes. Sad to admit.

It is interesting to note that, after I lived in Spain a few years ago, most modern day Spaniards express regret and sorrow for those actions. But here in the US, most Americans rub off the damage done to the Natives...

There actually weren't that many people here when the states that were once part of Mexico became part of the US.

The reason most of our legal immigrants are Mexican is because they come as family members of other legal immigrants, under the 1965 amendments to our immigration law. Since Mexico is close, a lot of Mexicans want to come, and Mexicans tend to have big families, the numbers result. Particularly when you remember that the largest percentage of the illegals given amnesty in 1986 were Mexican, and many had family they wanted to bring to the US.

Be that as it may, in response to your question, my ancesters were mostly from Germany.

The border didn't cross them, they was given a chose to be either an American citizen (after the Spanish/American war) or leave.
And for my ancestors- on my dad side Germany (German Jews) and my mom side a country that isn't there anymore.

It doesn't matter, I am an American.... and I am a legal citizen of the USA.

I don't accept for a moment, the notion that the poor were kicked out.... BUT, all illegal aliens and their children should be deported with all haste possible.... screw PC, no amnesty, no birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens....

Illegal aliens should not benefit in any manner as a result of their CRIME.... allowing their children birthright citizenship is allowing illegal aliens to benefit from their criminal activity.

If Mexico is your nation, why don't you fight to end corruption so your people can live a decent life in Mexico, instead of being used as criminal slaves in the USA by the corrupt ruling class of Mexico?
