I was raised in a Mormon (Latter Day Saints) household, although my parents were not very involved. My extended family was however. I stopped attending services when I was about 10, and completely rejected the belief system by age 12. When I was in high school I became a full fledged atheist. I just realized that although religion is useful and fulfilling for some, it had no place in my life because I did not believe.

I was raised one of Jehovah's Witnesses, then I became atheist because I hated God. Now I am no longer atheist, I believe in my spirituality and I see God or Gods in all of us and everything around us. I would never get involved with another religion though. Too corrupt and hypocritical.

Roman Catholic is a load of crap. I pray you search harder for the truth. Don't give up. Check out the movie "Luther". An excellent dipiction of what Martin Luther did in response to The Roman Catholics. Have a great day.

Christianity, then, as I realized how extreme and violent it was, Judaism. Then, as I realized how ridiculous the old texts were, not to mention the belief in an imaginary being, I became an Atheist.

Catholicism, then non-denominational christian.

Later I became agnostic and since I thought it wasn't worth to entertain the question, I became an atheist.

I was luckily never religious. I was raised a free person, even if my mum is a believer, she never passed it on to us.
