Scranton is lackluster - old industry town so nothing to write home about.
Vail will show you the worst of American culture. It's a beautiful place but filled with extrodinarily expensive shops, restaurants, etc. Colorado is stunningly beautiful. But really, there are shops there that 2 outfits could fund someone's college education.
Disney World is Disney World. It's a massive amusement park -nearly a city in and of itself.
Sadly you'll be missing the best cultural places - New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles. Aren't many museums, theaters etc. in Scranton, Vail or Kissamee (where Disney is). Same with clothing. None of the places you are going are known for their style - the closest will be Vail as they have the high end shops but those can be found worldwide.
As for natural beautry, the US is so wide and varried it would take years for you to see it all. Thankfully you will see the Rockies but it's unfortunate that you will miss the deserts of the Southwest, the fall in upstate New York, the stunning views of Montana, the densely green Northwest, and all of California - from it's mountains and Yosimite to the coasts of Big Sur down to San Diego.
You are fortunate to be able to travel. So few have the opportunities and even fewer seize them when the arise.

I don't live too far from Scranton, PA its basically a collegetown, what you should do is go approximately a half hour out of your way to Philadelphia. Its a very cultural City and historical city. You will have a lot of fun in Philly. Always music and shows going on and its right along the Delaware River. Im sure you will have a lot of fun in the states. Enjoy your stay!

good for you. Scranton PA. not much to do there. you will want to go see the sites in surrounding cities. Philadelphia and other places.
Vail CO. is absolutely beautiful. you will find good shopping there, expensive. Disney world is fun. when in Colo. if you can travel around to some of the small towns. much to see there

On first arrival get a stun gun. You just never know if you might need it.
Be careful of the boyfriend. Sounds fishy to me.
