I'd make roasted beef joint, with fried lamb joint to accompany. A smattering of chips tucked inside yorkshire puds with a splash of gravy.

Put the turkey in the microwave and fill it with haribo so you get the sweet savoury combination.

Or, order in a chinese. Orders over £15 get free prawn crackers.

Lemony lamb

Ingredients
1.25kg/2½lb lean lamb leg joint
1 orange, zest and juice
2 cloves garlic, sliced
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, leaves removed from stalk, plus 1 tbsp, chopped for the gravy
1 tbsp oil
3 tbsp orange marmalade
2 tbsp gravy granules
150ml/¼ pint water

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 5.
2. Take the lean lamb leg joint and make several slits into the joint. Mix together the orange zest, garlic and rosemary with the oil.
3. Stuff this mixture into the slits. Place onto a rack on a roasting sheet and open roast in the oven for 1½-1¾ hours.
4. 10-15 minutes before the end of cooking time, glaze the joint with 2 tbsp orange marmalade.
5. To make the gravy, mix together the water with the juice of the orange and the juices from the pan (drain off any fat first). Add 1 tbsp orange marmalade, 1 tbsp fresh rosemary and the gravy granules. Bring to the boil and heat until thickened.
6. Serve the lamb with roast or mashed potato and roasted or steamed seasonal vegetables.

Keep him entertained with a bottle of wine and sparkling conversation while this cooks. Alternatively, give it a boost in the microwave, which you will presumably have used to defrost the joint in the first place!

you could take out the stewing steak and when defrosted skwer with some vetables and bake in the oven for 30-40 mins. on the side you could have a spicy chillie dip and salad. Oh and dont forget a nice chilean red wine to wash it down

Don't even think about turkey that's frozen unless you want to be very ill! You must defrost the beef, lamb or stewing steak in the microwave first. I would sugest you defrost the stewing steak and make a lovely casserole as that would be quickest.

joints are not much use if still frozen ? If you have access to some minced beef you can top the Yorkshires with it. Have you any sausages ? do toad in the hole with onion gravy. Me personally, after cooking all day, will never refuse home made chips deep fried eggs and bread and butter, and a huge pot of tea

Nothing from the freezer unless you fancy a meat-fest!

Go to the supermarket on your way home and pick up some fresh vegetables! I would have stir-fry if I was you xxx
