In order to prevent breakage you need to have fairly thick hair that can take the stress of the process. If you have fine hair I would not recommend you get the braids. Fine thin hair has a higher risk of breakage and is easier to damage even when you take really good care of it. Becareful of the styles you choose, some are more damaging than you think. Hope this helps!

Any type of braids has the potential to break your hair off if done improperly. If you are considering having your hair braided make sure the stylist knows how to properly put in braids. Here are a few causes of breakage/damage due to braids:
Excessive amounts of hair can destroy your natural hair. Some people use an excessive amount of hair to achieve fullness, the fullness you desire should come from the amount of braids, not the amount of hair.
It is a fact that adding more hair than necessary will damage your hair. In a sense, it is equivalent to a 'tug-of-war.' Your natural strands will literally have to battle with the extensions to stay attached to your scalp.
Something else to keep in mind while shopping for a skilled braiding artist, is tightness. While anything that has been attached to your scalp will not provide you with ultimate comfort, it should never cause extreme discomfort. When your hair is braided properly, you will feel the attachment of the extension, but you should not be in excruciating pain. This pain only leads to extreme hair loss and sometimes even permanent follicle damage.

What you desire is a chain of deep conditioning treatments to assist restore your hair-assuming that you nonetheless have some, lol. you should get this performed at a salon-or you should purchase the stuff to do it your self. you could pass to sally's elegance furnish (that's open to the conventional public) and get even if you desire. attempt a mixture of two cups hair ldl cholesterol, 2 vials of fermadyl for damaged hair, plus a million cup of CAT-blend them mutually nicely. upload adequate of the answer on your hair to thoroughly coat it nicely, wrap your head with plastic wrap to enable the nice and cozy temperature to progression up and then a towel over that. positioned in this for no less than 20 minutes (you should pass all evening in case you could stand it), then shampoo it out. attempt this two times per week for a million month. end making use of the blow dryer for that aspect. you'll probable be a flat-head for somewhat, so positioned on a hat or headscarf, lol. then situation once the different month like that until eventually you run out of blend. end including stresses on your hair (like tight ponytails, curling irons, etc.) until eventually it really is more beneficial.

I would not recommend micros for fine, thin hair. You may experience hair loss because the braids are extremely small this will cause alot of wear and tear on your hair shaft.
